This week's AM session saw for the fourth straight Grand, the return of a past champion. This week TH:Sharingan made his return after missing the last 7 Grand Championships. With a Thebes Weekly Championship victory, he was heading into this Grand Championship on a high note. Due to the last patch fixing Tier 0's length, we had a mass amount of Tier 0 join the AM Grand Championship. Not only was it the most ever to join a Grand, but the first time any Tier 0 has joined an AM Grand Championship since Week 45.

The later rounds of this Grand were littered with past champions. So much so that for the first time that I've recorded, every single player in the Quarter-Finals was a past champion, leaving out the possibility of a first timer. Sharingan was one of the past champions to make the quarters, but unfortunately for him, his journey ended there in his match against MA:Metaldog. In his first Grand back he made the quarters, while not a win, a great run for his first time back.

After the defeats of Metaldog and TH:LH in the semis, the final round saw the return of MA:Harari and for the second time in 4 Grands, MY:HolyCrusader. Harari making his first appearance since the Week 60 AM Session, and HolyCrusader coming off of his victory against DE:Dart just 3 Grands ago, becoming the first DMF winner in quite some time then. This matchup was also a re-match, of HolyCrusader's first ever final round appearance in the Week 47 AM Session. Seeking revenge for his defeat back then, HolyCrusader was not going to give up the victory easy to Harari. The fight, was entirely controlled by HolyCrusader. After early mistakes by Harari, there was nothing he could do to recover, and HolyCrusader cruised to his third victory.

Another, albeit short victory streak by SMF was broken as DMF wins again. HolyCrusader wins his first AM Session.
